Final Year Project of Computer Engineer in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology This was a project making a new form of mobile computer, wireless monitor with touch screen. Mobile Remote Desktop Device was a specialized device remotely display and control other desktop computers and servers. This was an extreme use of cloud computing. The combination of the device and the servers could perform much complexer computation then the current laptops and flat computers but still maintain lower weight and battery usage. The servers sent the screen content to the device while the device sent the touch screen signals to and control the servers. The device was the development board Devkit8000 consisting of a 600MHz ARM processor. The processor decompress the images sent from the servers.
